The future according to....Katie....Stevie....Bethany....Simon and Robert....Michael

Jeremy

It was dark, I was scared, the night was cold
I tried to act bravely, big and bold
I could see shadows of witches, monsters and ghosts
I tried hard to think of the things I liked most
I stared up at the ceiling and guess what I saw
Shadows of trees, birds and more

I think there is a monster hid under my bed
I think it's there just waiting to be fed
At night time sometimes my bed starts to shake
As if it were conducting an old earthquake
I daren't take a look, I daren't take a peek
In case it shows its huge yellow teeth

All of a sudden from beneath my bed came a
huge , brown, hairy, covered head
I tried to scream, but it wouldn't come out
I tried to reach it, kick it and shout
My legs went numb, my hands went cold
I really tried to act big and bold
Then all of a sudden it jumped on my bed
I suddenly saw that brown, hairy head
I stopped frozen, my eyes full of fear
I could barely move, I felt quite queer

It had huge paws and brown, shaggy hair
I looked at it twice and saw what was there

The thing on my bed wasn't scary or mean
In fact its brown hair looked quite clean
It was in fact my dog Jeremy
Who had got out of the kitchen and come straight to me
He licked my face and wetted my hair
He really did give me a scare

The next night when I went to bed
I left my teddy and brought Jeremy instead
Now I'm not scared at bedtime after tea
Because I have lovable old Jeremy
He scares away the witches, monsters and ghosts

So now I can think of the things I like most
No there's no shadows or anything like that
That was my cat and my mum's new hat
Really I think I was quite silly
When I think about it quietly with Jeremy

Little Spider

Little Spider felt very upset. 'Nobody loves me,' he said. 'People love baby kittens and puppies and ducklings, but nobody loves baby spiders!' He knew he was right. One day Bobby Briggs had just put Little Spider down Emma's neck. 'Take that horrible thing away,' she had screamed. 'I hate spiders'. Now Little Spider could see Emma coming along the road to school near his web. 'Ooohh!' She cried, spotting his web. 'How pretty, just like a little lace hat'. Little Spider felt very proud. It was his own special dew-spangled design that he had spun that very morning. 'Clever Little Spider, I'll never be afraid of you again!' Said Emma.

The Volcano Vesuvius

The volcano called Vesuvius erupted one day
And the people fled from the town of Pompeii.
Some people screamed and ran about
And most people gave a very large shout.
The volcano Vesuvius was erupting all day
Then people thought this was the end of Pompeii.
A few years later some people dug up Pompeii
They were surprised to find it looked the same way
As it looked on the eruption day.
On that day long ago did people talk about the time when
They saw the volcano belch out its smoke.
The lava and dirt ran down the mountain
Just like it was a water fountain.

The future according to....

...Katie Ellerington

When Katie grows up she would like to be a hair dresser and she would get married and have a lot of children. Her lucky lottery numbers will be 5, 16, 8, 21,24 and 3. Her dream would be to get a sports car and drive it roofless around town. Katie would love to work abroad, somewhere like America. Katie would like to rent a flat and she would like me as her flat mate. She says she wouldn't like a big house because she wouldn't afford the rent. Katie is very concerned about her health so she will not smoke. She doesn't fancy being an alcoholic, but she probably won't mind a drink or two each day.

...Stevie Abbott

I interviewed Stevie Abbott about what she was going to do in the future. When Stevie is older she wants to be an actress and wants to run a pizza shop with some of her friends. Stevie does want to go to college because she is going to get a job when she's 16 so she will already have some money before she's 20 years old. Stevie thinks that this school should still be here when she is 50 years old, because it isn't very old now. I asked her if she wanted to be a vet when she is older. She said she liked animals but didn't want to be a vet because she was going to do a pizza shop. Stevie thinks that she will be about average at her secondary school. I asked Stevie if she thought she will do well in her GCSEs and she said she hoped she would do well. Stevie likes her secondary school because her friend will be there and she will make new friends. Stevie told me that she would stay friends with most of the friends she is already with. Stevie said that she isn't worried about going to the secondary school because she has two brothers there and a sister. Stevie isn't worried about not getting into her secondary school, because she is in the area for the school she wants to go to.

Bethany

...Bethany Young

Bethany wants to run a pizza shop with her friends when she is older. She is worried about doing her SATs, but hopes to do well. Bethany says she likes maths and thinks she will do well in maths A level.

However she doesn't like English much and when asked why she said she didn't find it interesting. She likes art and says it's ace. She hopes to do well in her secondary school which Bethany says will be Wolfreton. Bethany has been to her next school. Her friends are going to Wolfreton as well.

Bethany definitely has no intentions of taking drugs or being an alcoholic when she is older. She will live to have a future.

Bethany wants to take a maths A level. Bethany definitely won't take an English A level. When she is a lot older she hopes to get married, have a lovely husband and a boy and a girl. She hopes to live happiuly with her husband.

...Simon Bell and Robert Yates

I interviewed two young lads named Simon Bell and Robert Yates and they have big plans for the future. Simon would like to be a singer and Rob a footballer. They are both going tio have kids and their partner for life. Neither thinks they will know all their friends. For a living they plan to make their fortune by being in a band and spending it on a lot of instruments and a Jaguar. They would both buy a mansion and one in Barbados. They both want to go to Wolfreton and play football at playtime. They both say they will not smoke or drink and they think that people have to be demented to take drugs!

Matthew Hails

....Michael Jessop

I asked my friend Michael Jessop a few questions about his future.

He's very keen on science and would like to be a forensic scientist because of the money. He'd like to have kids when he's older. He would like to study forensic science at university. He's going to get a snake too. He is never going to take drugs. Michael likes football and wishes to see Arsenal Football Club, that's who he supports. He will learn to drive and get around quicker. He doesn't want to be a mad scientist.
