We had a very special Africa theme week just before half term in October 2006 when everyone took part in activities relating to this vast and exciting continent. Visitors came into school to work with the children, there were visits out of school and everyone took part in lots of African themed activities in their classrooms. By the end of the week we were getting quite used to the sound of African drumming coming from the direction of the Foundation Stage, who had their own set of African instruments for the week! It was a great way to round off the half term and really opened our eyes to what it is like to live in Africa today. The galleries below show some of the exciting activities the children took part in. |
